Writer’s block, it is like a cold, it can creep up on you without warning and can linger for weeks. Why does it happen, and how do you shake it? I am experiencing it today as I have been searching for a relevant and good topic to post about and my brain keeps coming up empty?
I could have posted a follow up to let everyone know how the Open Coffee Club went this morning, but I thought it would be on the back of the post yesterday reminding you of it for today, so that’s no good. I read a post on Noah’s blog that sparked some thoughts in my head, but I would not want to copy him and post something strikingly similar (although it was a funny topic and something I totally do, as I am sure countless others do too). I could have perused Flickr for some inspiration and posted about the first inspiring pic I found, but that just did not sit well with me either. (BTW, here is the first one I found)
It seems as if by thinking about writer’s block and writing about writer’s block, I have cured myself of my problem.
What causes writer’s block for you?
